Xiaomi Mi Max 2 in matte black colour launched, costs the same as gold variant

xiaomi unveiled the successor of its 6.44-inch super-sized Mi Max phablet in May, and called it -- Mi Max 2. The phablet was originally launched in only one colour variant -- gold. Now, the Chinese smartphone maker brings a new matte black colour Xiaomi Mi Max 2. The matte black colour is available only in the Hong Kong market for the time being and boast the similar specifications and price like the gold variant.
To recall, Xiaomi Mi Max 2 was launched at a price tag of HKD 1,899, which estimates roughly around Rs. 15,685. In terms of the specifications, the device comes with a massive 6.44-inch full-HD display with a 1080x1920 pixels resolution. Mi MAx 2 runs on  MIUI 8 based on Android 7.0 Nougat and is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC clocked at 2GHz coupled with 4GB of RAM.
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 was launched in two varaints, one with 64GB of internal storage capacity, while the second variant features a 128GB of built-in storage. However, this is only for the gold variant. The new matte black variant will come with 64GB storage only. The device further houses a massive 5300mAh battery and is coupled with Quick Charge 3.0 support, and connectivity options like -- 4G connectivity, Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth. On the optics front, the Mi Max 2 features a 12-megapixel camera on the rear, which comes with PDAF support and dual-LED flash. While on the front, the Mi Max 2 sports a 5-megapixel camera for clicking selfies.
There are no words as to when Xiaomi might bring the Mi Max 2 to the Indian market. However, Xiaomi India VP and MD -- Manu Kumar Jain has been hinting that the company is planning to bring a new device to India in the month of July, and rumours suggest that it could be the Xiaomi Mi Max 2. This is because, source close to India Today Tech confirmed that Xiaomi will not bring Mi 6 to the Indian market, hence, it is the Mi Max 2 that may come to India next month.
